2025 CYCAL Nature's Calendar Wheel of the Year (Friends & Family Edition)
2025 CYCAL Nature's Calendar Wheel of the Year (Friends & Family Edition)
CYCAL Nature's Calendar is a lunisolar calendar system that integrates solar years, lunar months, and a cyclical philosophy of life.
It is perfect for tracking nature observations, aligning with the cycles of the sun and moon, and seeing time the way nature does - as a circle.
It is available alone as a premium wall art print or together with a simple and elegant oak hanger.
To fit an entire year on one print, the text size for each date is quite small. Each date has writing space comparable to a line in a college-ruled notebook. Please consider this if you have concerns about reading small text.
Solstice-based year
Solstice-based year
The first day of this calendar is the winter solstice. It includes the last 10 days of 2024 but it is primarily a 2025 calendar.
The standard Gregorian calendar uses leap days to stay in sync with the seasons. The CYCAL calendar instead always begins on the winter solstice each time.
Astronomically accurate
Astronomically accurate
This calendar shows time in the same way a circular wall clock does but at a larger scale. Each radial line is a moment in time.
The design is algorithmically generated using accurate orbital paths of the moon, earth, and sun. It is unique and accurate for each individual time zone.

Nature's Calendar
This 2025 solar year calendar poster displays a large color-coded calendar wheel that depicts every day from Winter Solstice to Winter Solstice. Please note that the 2025 edition of this calendar starts on Dec 21, 2024 and ends on Dec 20, 2025.
The calendar wheel contains multiple rings.
The outermost ring depicts the cycles of the common (Gregorian) calendar. It includes the common month name and day of the month for each day. The color coding of this ring indicates the position of each month within the year cycle.
The next ring depicts the days of the week and includes the name of each weekday. The color coding of this ring indicates the position of each day within the week.
The middle ring is a grayscale representation of the illumination of the moon for each day.
The next ring depicts the lunar phase cycle and includes eight phases of the moon for each cycle. The precise moment of each moon phase is indicated with an icon depicting that phase and line radiating toward the center of the wheel. The radial position of each moon phase icon and its corresponding line indicates the date and time of day of each moon phase. The color coding of this ring indicates the position of each moon phase within its lunar month.
The inner ring depicts the cycles of the 2025 lunar calendar with lunar months and dates. It includes the CyCal lunar month name and the lunar month date for each day. The color coding of this ring indicates the position of the lunar month within the solar year.
Additionally there are eight named lines to indicate the date and time of day of the solstices, equinoxes, and cross-quarters.
- Winter Solstice (Midwinter, Yule)
- Winter / Spring Cross-Quarter (Imbolc)
- Spring Equinox (Ostara)
- Spring / Summer Cross-Quarter (Beltane)
- Summer Solstice (Midsummer, Litha)
- Summer / Autumn Cross-Quarter (Lughnasadh)
- Autumn Equinox (Mabon)
- Autumn / Winter Cross-Quarter (Samhain)
All lines radiating out on the wheel tell time in the same way a circular wall clock does but at a larger scale. The radial position of each solstice, equinox, and cross-quarter line indicates the date and time of day of the event.
